a little bit about me...

Over 25 years ago I knew I wanted to be a hairstylist. I was the one who fixed all my friend’s hair, wore the crazy styles, always had to have the new look.

Years later, I still love it.

What has been the best all these years is the constant learning and changing of styles. Colors have become so wonderfully technical and are like magic at the tips of my fingers.

The deepest pleasure is when you see the look on your client’s face at the end of a service.

The growth of this professional has been intriguing and inspiring. I enjoy education and so much is available. Staying on top of trends, learning new tools and designs is what keeps me interested in my profession..

Pleasing my clients is my reward.


 
 




HAIR!! I love doing hair. Always have. 


After 17 years in a salon of loving what I was doing, but just craving something more, I was searching for something new and different. I have always loved long hair, formal styles and long hair styles have been my favorite thing to do. Extensions intrigued me for years, but the quality was never good and I didn’t want to use inferior products. Then Great Lengths came to the USA. WOW!! I knew I’d found a new niche in my career and enjoy it more than anything I have ever done. Bringing long beautiful high quality hair to clients , especially those who could never grow it on their own, due to fineness or thinness, is such a pleasure.  As the transition begins, watching their faces as the hair changes is beyond wonderful

As the world of hair extensions grows, I become more concerned with poor quality and professionals who do not know what they are doing. My concern is to keep a clients hair in the best condition I can throughout the life of the extensions. I am “picky” and proud of it. I expect the same from my stylists, so our clients receive only the best work.

Being the owner of A New You Salon gives me the freedom to be as creative as possible and encourage my stylists to do the same. I discovered after working in large and small salons through the years that I love the intimacy of a smaller salon where clients feel like they have a place they can be totally comfortable and at home.  We have a lot of fun, laugh a lot, help each other, learn from each other. It’s how a salon should be.
